Review Tony Moly Pokemon Bling Bling Nail Polish

Oh yes another review,

I know you wanted another one so here it is.

This time it’s another cute collab from Tony Moly with Pokemon.

Yeap Korea is still ongoing with these cute collaboration with cartoons and cute characters.

I must say I was not that attracted to these products, I did buy a pouch because who doesn’t need a pouch? Apart from that, I only bought this nail polish.

I succumbed because I found this nail polish for less than 3 EUR on Ebay. It was from IBBI and they were really generous with their samples!

The packaging

This nail polish comes in a very simple clear glass with a black cap. In front, you have the Pokemon character which represent the color of the shade.

I bought n°6, which is Purin but I grew up with this character being called Jigglypuff 🙂

The color n°6 is a pastel lilac color with small holographic glitter. It’s a perfect color for everyday nails, and you still look classy and feminine.

On the side you have a sticker to confirm it’s authenticity : it’s a holographic sticker with  Pikachu this time.

The application

This has a nice big handle so you can control it’s application. The brush is long and easy to apply. I also like the fact that it’s quite watery.

If you apply one layer, it still a bit see through so you need to apply at least 2-3 coats for the colour to be true to the bottle. If you apply 5-6 coats, it’s still nice and doesn’t feel heavy on the nails. A nice thing about this nail polish is that  it also dries up pretty fast!

I had this nail polish on for a week , without a top coat. It only chipped at the ends of my nails.

The color is still nice, but maybe not as shiny as day one.Even after cutting my nails, the nail polish didn’t chip that much and was still quite resistant!

I definitely loved this nail polish :

  • the color is great, a super nice pastel lilac colour with that extra holographic touch
  • it has a nice watery texture and you can apply several coats without it feeling heavy
  • it dries up fast
  • does not chip easily

This reminded me of Etude house bling me prism nail in 02 mystery muse

It’s another purple shade, but this has less “bling” to it.

Even if you don’t like/care about Pokemon, this is a great shade to have in your collection!

See you next time
